posted 1 month agoWe are looking for a Research Assistant/Associate Analytical Biochemistry to join the Inbiose team in Ghent, Belgium.

Belgium-based Inbiose develops biotechnological processes using the proprietary Glycoactives platform to produce specialty carbohydrates such as human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). We are committed to make these complex sugars available to a large set of industries such as infant formula, dietary supplements, functional food & beverages, pet food, …. to meet the global demand for healthy and sustainable food and feed ingredients. With two HMOs sold through our partnership with a global ingredient manufacturer, four other HMOs in regulatory development and many new products in pipeline, Inbiose is poised for high growth in the coming years. Your profile:
You have a BSc or MSc in (bio)chemistry or equivalent
You have experience with U(H)PLC and HPAEC-PAD and have insight in multiple detection methods such as RI, ELSD, FLR, UV and MS
You are flexible and a team player, but can work independently
You are willing to learn new techniques and expand your knowledge
You have an eye for detail, work accurately and aim for qualitative work
You are communicative and have a hands-on approach
You are capable to manage multiple experiments within a single day
You are fluent in English
You are proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook or equivalent
Knowledge about Empower and Chromeleon is a plus
Knowledge about complex carbohydrate analytics is a plus
Responsibilities:
You will maintain, analyze, organize and report data
You will take on general laboratory responsibilities and apply organizational and creative skills to improve lab operations
You will maintain safe practices and work environment
