LNT (Lacto-N-tetraose)
LNT is a type 1 HMO (β1-3 binding between galactose and GlcNac) which is unique to human milk as most other mammalian milks contain predominantly type 2 HMOs (β1-4 binding between galactose and GlcNac)
Consequentially, mainly infant gut bifido-bacteria are able to metabolize LNT.
The concentration of LNT is high in both secretor and non-secretor human milk, hence is a good candidate to add into Infant Formula
High purity LNT can be offered by Inbiose.
